Waterline Construction Moves Up LWE

The construction of McConnellsburg’s new 8-inch water main has now moved from downtown to upper Lincoln Way with trenching across the intersection of North Sixth Street. Work will continue up Lincoln Way East and will also go a limited distance up Route 16. The McConnellsburg Water Authority project is expected to be completed by the end of October.

Self-certified restaurants can open indoor dining to 50 percent beginning Sept. 21

The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported on Tuesday, Sept. 8, that Fulton County now has 38 cases of COVID-19. A total of 1,042 people have tested negative for the virus. McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Co. placed its annual flag memorial over the weekend for the 343 firefighters who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York City.

According to the National Census Bureau, there are 22 days remaining to respond to the 2020 Census as of Wednesday, Sept. 9. The last day to respond is Sept. 30.
