Paul I. Hock Jr.

Paul Irvin Hock Jr, 74, McConnellsburg, passed away peacefully in Montgomery, Texas, Sunday, October 27, 2019.

He was born November 12, 1944, in Chambersburg. He was the second child to the late Paul I. Hock and Janet L. Carbaugh Hock of Chambersburg.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Ruth Mildred Morrison Hock.

Paul and Ruth were partners on the family’s dairy farm located north of McConnellsburg, for more than 39 years until they retired. He was a true American dairy farmer and a devote Christian. He always enjoyed time with his friends, hunting, cracking jokes and loving on his family. He will always be remembered for his strong will and never-quit attitude.

In their retirement, Paul and Ruth spent time visiting with relatives and watching their own family grow.

He is survived by his three children: Brenda S. (wife of Max Jr.) McQuait, Hustontown; Paula K. (wife of Bill Clevenger), Montgomery, Texas; and Paul I. Hock III, McConnellsburg; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren: Nathan Sheffield, Casey DeShong, Nick Sheffield, Lacey Hock, Paul I Hock, IV and Jackson W.A. Clevenger; two sisters: Deloris L. (wife of Luther Jr.) Rotz, Chambersburg; and Joyce K. (wife of Donald) Diehl, Orrstown.

He had requested no services to be held in his honor, but the family is planning a memorial service; details will be provided at a future date.
