Home Nursing Agency's foundation provided the agency's hospice patients throughout Fulton County with microfleece blankets as part of its annual holiday project. Hospice volunteers and staff delivered the blankets to patients' homes between Christmas and New Year's. According to Home Nursing Agency hospice volunteer coordinator Lou Kensinger, the patients were very grateful and one patient shared, "This blanket is one of my favorite things." Hospice volunteers really make a difference by serving as an integral part of the agency's hospice team of caring professionals, who provide support, relief and companionship for patients experiencing a life-limiting illness so that they may live as pain-free as possible in the comfort of home. Compassion lies at the core of Home Nursing Agency's hospice program and specially-trained volunteers are at the heart of hospice.
