Saving lives is something we think of when we think about police officers, fire fighters, EMTS, paramedics, etc. It’s not something normally associated with high school students. However, four high school students at Forbes Road High School did just that this week when they organized and coordinated with the American Red Cross to hold a blood drive. As a matter of fact, they may have potentially saved 93 lives. The blood drive held September 9 had 12 first-time donors give blood. The overall number of donors was 31 and 39 units of blood were collected. Anyone who would like to know more about blood drives, please call 1-800- RED-CROSS or visit rdcrossblood.org.
