During the week of June 10-14, the Girl Scouts of Big Cove Service Unit hosted a superhero-themed day camp at Camp Sinoquipe in Fort Littleton. Despite threatening weather, girls braved the rainstorms and participated in activities including canoeing, kayaking, archery, arts and crafts, games, woodworking, jewelry-making and nature exploration. Many troops also camped out for the week, sleeping in cabins or tents and learning to cook outdoors. Adult volunteers helped to plan and run the annual summer camp including troop leaders, parents and even grandparents. Anyone interested in joining a local Girl Scout troop, or an adult interested in volunteering with Girl Scouts, please contact Sue Cubbage at the Fulton County Food Basket. 39p1.jpg
