On the evening of March 16, Southern Fulton High School held talent night featuring performances by students in senior high chorus and guitar class. The audience was asked to vote with dollars for their favorite vocalist during intermission. While votes were counted, the guitar students performed several selections. All money raised from voting benefits SF student Tristan Douglas to help offset the expenses of cancer treatment. The event was well attended and a total of $1,200 was raised. Leangel Barnhart and Noah Smartt were recognized for receiving the most votes and were awarded $100 and $50 gift cards, respectively. The prizes were funded by the choral activity fund. The success of the concert has led to plans to make talent night an annual event.
