Longaberger branch leader Deb Toothman recently led a bus tour to the Crayola Factory in Easton, Pa., April 9. It was the very first Crayola Basket Fest in partnership with the Longaberger Company from Ohio. This basket fest was held April 7- 10 and was a huge success, selling out of Crayola event baskets in the first two days. Longaberger basket makers were on hand and helping people weave baskets on site. More than 50 weavers and Longaberger staff were on hand daily to make this event a success, with multiple bus tours all days as well as a factory and Homestead store for shopping. Events baskets were also given away with daily door prizes for attendees. Attendees participated in a raffle, and prizes were awarded. Proceeds from this raffle were given to the Great Cove Golf Course Pool Fund. A check was presented to Paul Johnston by Deb Toothman.
