The McConnellsburg Lions Community Park continued to improve last week as P&W Excavating paved handicapped parking areas, handicap access trails and the Arthur and Ruth Schmidt Community Walking Track. The improvements will complete the required components of the $154,000 County Environmental Initiative Grant, funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and awarded through the Fulton County commissioners. The grant covered approximately 40 percent of the cost of recent park expansion. The remaining money was raised by the McConnellsburg Lions Club through fundraisers and donations from local citizens and businesses. The local community appreciates P&W Excavating, which provided services at a reduced rate, in the interest of service to the community. – SUBMITTED PHOTO 006p1.jpg
