The Fulton County commissioners and Needmore Volunteer Fire Co. officials welcomed Magisterial District Judge Carol Jean Johnson into her newly remodeled office space located in the former equipment bay area of the Needmore Firehall. Eagle Construction of Greencastle oversaw the construction that offers new safety standards implemented throughout, including bullet-proof glass in several areas and a reinforced courtroom bench that is designed to withstand gunshots. While the office meets the minimum security standards outlined by the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts, it also includes a holding room, waiting area, courtroom and office space for judicial employees Dawn Hill and Mendy Mellott. The lease between the fire company and the county for use of the newly created office space is set to span a 10-year time frame. On hand for the grand opening of the office on Friday was (left to right) Commissioner David Hoover II, fire company President Wavy Kirk, Commissioner Craig Cutchall, Judge Johnson and Commissioner Bonnie Mellott Keefer. 009p1.jpg
