FR Junior High Student Of The Month

Hailey Berkstresser, a ninthgrade student at Forbes Road High School, has been named Junior High Student of the Month for February by the high school faculty. Students are selected by their teachers based on attendance, grades, citizenship and being a positive leader in the classroom.

Hailey is enrolled in the academic curriculum and states that art is her favorite class. Her art teacher, Mrs. Black says, “Hailey is an energetic artist who takes an inspiration and runs with it. She isn’t content to simply interpret an idea once, she goes home and puts it into practice!”

Hailey is a member of the Library Club and takes piano and guitar lessons. She attends Burnt Cabins Bible Church where she is active in the youth group. Her plans for the future are to be a veterinarian.

Hailey’s parents are Neil and Creta Berkstresser and she has two older sisters. In her spare time she enjoys hunting, riding horses and drawing.

When a student is named Student of the Month by the faculty, it is in recognition of a promising young person who shows strength and character in their daily school life. Hailey has impressed her teachers as being a good example of these students.
