Illustrator Wendell Minor and his wife and author, Florence, read their latest book, "If You Were a Penguin," to kids who came to the Fulton Theatre last Thursday to hear what the couple had to say about reading, writing and illustrating books. The Minors' visit here was arranged by the Fulton County Library through the One Book, Every Young Child initiative. The library offers many activities for children and is getting ready for its next big children's event -- the summer reading program, which kicks off June 19 at 10:00 a.m. at the McConnellsburg Alumni & Friends building. Children's librarian Linda Burton reminds young readers that the summer program will be held at locations in all three school districts.
