Nearly 60 gathered October 26 to remember beloved friend and teacher Dr. James Witt. Originally from Bedford County, Witt made many friends over the years as a family physician in Fulton County. His untimely death in 1999 shocked the small community he served. His peers, friends and neighbors gathered to mark the 10th anniversary of his passing. A portrait of the late physician, commissioned by Fulton County Medical Center and painted by local artist Anne Gobin, will hang in the center’s Remembrance Wall of History corridor. Staff members, physicians, family members and friends remembered the physician who practiced at the center from 1970 through 1999. Pictured are Judy Witt Slates and Galen Kling. 011p1.jpg
