Frank W. Palmer

Frank W. Palmer, 92, Warfordsburg, died Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Fulton County Medical Center, Mc- Connellsburg.

He was born in Warfordsburg, March 19, 1926, the son of the late Belva (Akers) and John Palmer. He was the husband of Geraldine (Hess) Palmer, whom he married August 31, 1946.

He was a member of the former Pleasant Grove Church of Christ in Warfordsburg, Pennsylvania Farm Bureau and also had memberships in numerous agricultural and conservation organizations. He was a dairy farmer all his life and after retiring, he was a honeybee inspector. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jocelyn (wife of Ed) Goodman, St. Thomas; a granddaughter, Erin (wife of Matt) Martin, Mercersburg; greatgrandchildren: Mitchell and Mason Martin; sisters-in-law: Marjorie Palmer, Chambersburg, and Myrna Palmer, Hagerstown; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Kevin Palmer; sisters: Marie Crist, Reba Hill and Blanche Morse; brothers: Warren, Hayes, Charles and Gorman Palmer; and two infant brothers: John and Samuel Palmer.

Services were held at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, Tuesday, January 8. Pastor Dick Bernhard officiated. Interment was at Pleasant Grove Christian Cemetery, Warfordsburg.
