Physical Assault

An argument that turned physical resulted in state police charging Justin Vogt, 29, McConnellsburg, with the Nov. 21 assault of a 26-yearold female, also of Mc- Connellsburg. Police said the incident occurred at Cloverleaf Court in Todd Township at 11:04 a.m. Vogt was also charged with damaging the victim’s cellphone, valued at $900, and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Car Theft

State police report that a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier stolen from 219 Gienger Rd., Union Township, on the evening of Nov. 29 was recovered the next day at the scene of an 8:29 a.m. vehicle hit-and-run crash. The case is under investigation and police ask anyone with information to contact them in McConnellsburg at 717-485- 3131.

Witness Intimidation

A 45-year- old Mc- Connellsburg man was the victim of witness intimidation Nov. 17 from 10 p.m. until midnight at a North Fifth Street location, according to state police, who did not identify the actor. Statements made to the victim caused him to want to withhold his testimony at a Court of Common Pleas summary appeal trial.


A 20-year-old Shade Gap male was cited for harassment Nov. 24 following a domestic dispute with his 18- year-old girlfriend from Mc- Connellsburg. According to the state police, the incident took place at Lincoln Way Pizza.

DUI/Drug Possession

Tyghe Bowers, 23, Chambersburg, was arrested by state police for driving under the influence and drug possession Nov. 13 in Todd Township. The arrest was made on Lincoln Way West at 12:40 p.m.

Single-vehicle Crash

A 22-year- old McConnellsburg female was uninjured during an early morning, single-vehicle accident in Hamilton Township, Franklin County, Nov. 25. State police said 22-year-old Jessica N. Keefer’s 2002 Buick Rendezvous slid on a patch of ice on a Leafmore Road bridge at 6:41 a.m. and struck a bridge rail. Her SUV was towed from the accident scene.

Drug Possession

A Fort Loudon man was found in possession of marijuana during a traffic stop near the intersection Lincoln Highway and Lincoln Way East on Nov. 24 at 7:57 p.m. According to state police, Troy Knepper, 48, Fort Loudon, was also found under the influence of a substance, which rendered him incapable of operating the vehicle safely.

Criminal Mischief

A mailbox was damaged at 6610 Cito Rd. sometime between Nov. 26 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 27 at 12:15 p.m. According to state police, an unknown person sprayed adhesive expanding foam into a black metal mailbox belonging to April Harman, 39, McConnellsburg. Damage was valued at $50. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Mc- Connellsburg at 717-485- 3131.
