Releases New Book

Loretta Radeschi of Bedford has just released her fourth book “How Pets Bring Us Closer to God: 100 True Life Devotionals.” The book features farm animals and house pets whose interactions with one another and with their owners provide insight to the Scriptures.

Readers will meet Buddy, a quarterhorse, who shows the imperishable quality of a quiet spirit through his gentleness towards two young llamas (1 Peter 3:3-4). Molly, a once abused English field setter, helps us realize that we can run with endurance whatever is placed before us when we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus (Hebrews 12:1-2). Patches, a calico barn cat, avoided adults but would draw herself to a young child, reminding us that God draws near to us (James 4:8). In these and other true stories, Radeschi connects Scriptures to the activities of horses, llamas, dogs, cats, sheep and fowl.

“How Pets Bring Us Closer to God” is a book for all ages. Younger children will enjoy hearing the stories; older children and adults will see the connection between the lessons taught in Scripture, animals’ behavior and our relationship to God.

Radeschi will have a book signing at Live Well Chiropractic, Route 56, Fishertown, on Monday, Dec. 10 from 2 to 6 p.m. For more information, call 814-623-7399.
