The review of Ayr Township’s proposed 2019 budget topped supervisors Sonny Harr, Gary Hopkins, and Tom Nesbitt’s agenda at their monthly township meeting Nov. 26.

Final adoption of the budget will take place at the supervisors’ Dec. 27 meeting at 7:30 p.m. The proposed budget is available for inspection by appointment at the home of township secretary Denise Mellott.

Bruce Schweitzer, a project manager from PennDOT, met with supervisors to discuss the construction that will take place on Cove Creek Bridge on T-372, Ravensburg Road. The project is slated for 2020 and will replace the non-composite concrete deck with a composite concrete deck. This is estimated to take four weeks to accomplish. Cove Creek Bridge is one of the five bridges in Fulton County that is on PennDOT’s list to be replaced, according to township secretary Mellott. All construction expenses are to be covered by PennDOT.

The supervisors received a letter from Fulton County Planning & Mapping Director Mary K. Seville announcing the annual review meeting of the Fulton County Hazard Mitigation Plan on Monday, Dec. 3. Harr will be attending the meeting to represent Ayr Township.

The next Ayr Township meeting will be Thursday, Dec. 27, at 7 p.m. The reorganization meeting will be Monday, Jan. 7, 2019.

In attendance were the three township supervisors and township secretary Mellott.
