Stains Faces More Felony Charges


Stains Stains A Fulton County native, Loren Ryan Stains, 28, of St. Thomas arrested and jailed on a $1 million bond in March after he led police on a highspeed chase now faces two more felony counts for the manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver in connection with alleged drug deals in February.

Stains was found to have sold “molly,” a crystalline powdered version of the stimulant MDMA, to a confidential informant for $120, on Feb. 12 and Feb. 15, according to news sources. The drug deal allegedly took place three weeks before Stains’ highspeed police chase in March.

Stains has also be charged with criminal use of a communication facility.

Following the March incident, Stains was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, flight to avoid apprehension, fleeing or eluding police, recklessly endangering another person, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, several traffic violations, and allegedly hitting a patrol vehicle head-on.

Stains is already serving time in Franklin County Jail for the charges brought against him in March.

The new charges were filed on Sept. 26 in one case and on Nov. 1 in other. Judges set bail at $25,000 and $75,000, respectively.
