Commissioners Talk Finances

Daniel Sefick and Cory Johnson from Zelenkofske Axelrod, a regional CPA firm that specializes in providing services to nonprofit and governmental entities, met with commissioners Stuart Ulsh, Pete Lynch and Rodney McCray at their weekly meeting Oct. 31.

According to county chief clerk Lisa Mellott-McConahy, the two CPAs presented information about financial benchmarking analysis recently completed by their firm that included Fulton County with some of their other clients.

Also at last Tuesday’s meeting, Stephanie Stohon from Wessel & Company and Lisa Beatty, county fiscal administrator, told the commissioners that a few minor changes will need to be made to the 2019 draft budget.

A review of the County Auditor’s Report for 2017 with the county auditors resulted in no findings.

Julia Dovey, director of Fulton County Family Partnership, met with the three commissioners regarding the Medical Assistance Transportation Program final report for FY 2017- 18. The objective of the program is to assist low-income individuals who have PA Medicaid with transportation to medical appointments.

Eldon Martin, IT director, was present to discuss computer security practices.
