Iva Lee Shives, 74, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born January 6, 1944, in Fulton County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Randolph and Loretta Valley Werdebaugh Eader.

She was of the Protestant faith. She attended Berkeley Springs High School.

She was the co-owner and operator of the BP gas station in Berkeley Springs. She had been a homemaker in recent years and enjoyed socializing with family and friends.

Surviving are four sisters: Loretta Mae “Peach” Stevens, Aspers, Pa.; Ruth Marie Doyle, Zephyrhills, Fla.; Hester Elaine Mason, Berkeley Springs, and Suzette Goldie Brackett, Winchester, Va.; two brothers: Jacob Leon “Butch” Eader, Berkeley Springs, and Richard Charles Eader, Warfordsburg; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Shives; one sister, Carol Ann Somers; and one brother, Ronald Elwood Eader.

Services and interment were private.
