Pennsylvania State Police found a man under the influence at a traffic stop near the intersection of Lincoln Way East and South Second Street on Aug. 9 at 5:41 p.m. According to state police, an 18-year-old male from McConnellsburg was found with marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his vehicle. He was the found to be under the influence and taken to the Fulton County Medical Center for a blood draw.


A back door was forced open on the 500 block of Lincoln Way East on Aug. 26 sometime between 2:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., according to state police. Anyone with information is asked to contact Tpr. Speigle at PSP Mc- Connellsburg at 717-485- 3131.


A crash occurred at the 10000 block on Lincoln highway on July 30 at 8:30 p.m. According to state police, Adam Carr, 29, McConnellsburg, drove off the roadway and crashed his vehicle. Carr was found to be impaired during the crash.


A burglary occurred at 810 Lincoln Way East between Aug. 5 and Aug. 15. According to state police, an unknown actor entered the garages at K.G. Richards Trucking. Anyone with information should contact PSP McConnellsburg at 717- 485-3131.

Animal Neglect

A neglected female canine was found on Aug. 29 at 10:35 a.m. at 3009 Davis Lane. According to state police, Tammy Lynn Strait, 54, Hustontown, failed to provide necessary sustenance and potable water, as well as access to clean and sanitary shelter and protection from the weather while the unattended dog was tethered outside.


Two local men are accused of harassing a Shippensburg man at 8254A Breezy Point Rd. on Aug. 29 at 5:15 p.m. According to state police, Richard John Hodnovich, 42, McConnellsburg, and Dennis Robert Willhoyte, 40, McConnellsburg, got into an altercation with John Harley Lumsden, 36, Shippensburg. Harassment charges were filed.

Public Drunkenness

A man was found unconscious in the yard at 416 Lincoln Way East on Aug. 29 at 3:20 a.m. According to state police, Anthony Sheldon, 26, McConnellsburg, was in the yard and then was taken into custody.

Animal Confinement/ Dog License

A Weimaraner was found without a license and unconfined at 493 Grist Mill Rd. on Aug. 27 at 1 p.m. According to state police, Dustin Long, 32, Burnt Cabins, failed to apply for and secure a current 2018 dog license, and failed to confine the dog within his premises.
