POLICE REPORTS

Criminal Mischief

A vehicle was damaged on the premises of 201 N. 2nd St. in McConnellsburg sometime Aug. 11 or 12. According to state police, an unknown individual came on to the property and damaged a Fulton County commissioner’s vehicle by scratching the hood of his pickup truck. The actors then fled in an unknown direction by unknown means. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call PSP Mc- Connellsburg at 717-485- 3131.

Car Accident

A single-car accident occurred on Great Cove Road on Aug. 20 at 9:57 p.m. According to state police, Randy Stahle, 33, Needmore, was traveling south on Great Cove Road when he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve in the roadway. His 2004 Chevy Trail Blazer traveled off the roadway and onto the south berm, striking a stone embankment. The vehicle then traveled across the road and struck the north berm guiderail. The vehicle then spun 180 degrees before coming to a rest in a yard. Stahle then fled the scene.

PFA Violation

A man violated his protection from-abuse order on Aug. 21 at 10 a.m. when he made contact with an ex-girlfriend of 524 Woodside Dr. According to state police, Richard Whatton, 52, Mc- Connellsburg, sent a voice message to his ex-girlfriend despite being aware that he had a PFA filed against him.

Burglary

A burglary occurred some time between June 21 and Aug. 21 at 1173 Rock Hill Rd. According to state police, Melissa Buterbaugh, 49, Mc- Connellsburg, reported that someone took cash from the above residence. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP McConnellsburg at 717-485-3131.

Single-Car Crash

A crash occurred near Oak Ridge Drive on July 30 at 8:32 p.m. According to state police, Adam Carr, 29, McConnellsburg, was traveling west on Lincoln Highway when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. Carr’s 1999 Chevy Silverado then traveled off the roadway onto the shoulder of the westbound lane where it made impact with an embankment. No injuries were reported.

Theft

A Maryland Dept. of Corrections badge was stolen from a vehicle located at 943 Great Cove Rd. between Aug. 6 and 9. According to state police, the badge was stolen from a 42-year-old male from Warfordsburg. The badge is bronze with the number 1371 engraved on the bottom of it.
