For yet another weekend this summer, local race tracks had to dodge Mother Nature, with some winning and some losing again.

Port Royal Speedway waited out a rain delay and a long night where it was Lucas Wolfe scoring the 410 Sprint car win as he defeated Harrisonville’s Logan Wagner. Greg Hodnett was third ahead of Blane Heimbach and Anthony Macri. Mike Wagner finished eighth.

The World of Outlaws Late Models were on hand at the Port where Mike Marlar came away with the $10,000 payday in his win over Brandon Sheppard, Devin Moran, Jason Covert and Tyler Erb.

Brian Montieth won for the 60th time in his career in Lincoln Speedway 410 Sprint car action Saturday as he took the win over Freddie Rahmer, Tim Glatfelter, Cory Haas and Landon Myers.

Justin Weaver won Saturday night’s Mason-Dixon Shootout Series for 358 Late Models at Hagerstown Speedway and also took his third career Hagerstown track championship.

Weaver’s win came over Donnie Farling, Barry Miller, Shaun Jones and Daulton Bilger

Jamie Zentmyer was the Pure Stock winner over Needmore’s Chris Ebersole and Mike Desch as Doug Hoffman clinched the 2018 championship.

Scott Dellinger was leading on Lap 13 when rain hit BAPS Motor Speedway as he was declared the Super Sportsman winner for a seventh time this season. Following were Frankie Herr, Bruce Buckwalter, Todd Leonard and Davey Walsh.

Weekend racing at Williams Grove and Selinsgrove speedways was both rained out.
