Damaged Vehicle

A 2013 Subaru Outback that was parked at All Things Automotive over the weekend of Aug. 4 was struck on the front driver's side fender while it was parked, according to state police. The actor then fled in an unknown vehicle.

Pole Struck

A West Penn Power pole was struck at the intersection of Plum Hollow Road and Brown Road on July 30 at 10:40 p.m. According to state police, a 2017 Freightliner Cascadia was traveling North on Plum Hollow Road and was approaching the intersection when the truck’s trailer struck the pole, causing the pole to lean away from the residence at 3006 Plum Hollow Rd. Minor damage occurred to the truck and the electrical box at the residence. No injuries were reported.

Car Accident

A crash occurred on Great Cove Road, roughly 190 feet north of Waterfall on July 28 at 10:59 p.m. According to state police, Chelsea Deshong, 24, Hustontown, fell asleep while driving, causing her 2013 Kia Forte to go off the road and strike a fence post. This caused minor damage to the vehicle, but no personal injuries were reported. Deshong was charged with a traffic violation.


Harassment occurred on the 5000 block of Pleasant Grove Road on Aug. 4 at 3 p.m. According to state police, an unnamed person called and texted a female from Bethel Township multiple times when it was unwanted by the victim.

Walks Into Car

On Aug. 2 at 11:14 a.m. a crash occurred on Lincoln Way East near Third Street. According to state police, Nadine Utz, 79, Red Lion, was crossing Lincoln Way in a north to south direction when she struck Jasmin Seiders, 19, McConnellsburg, who was in a 2008 Ford Focus. Seiders was traveling east on Lincoln Way at an estimated speed of five miles per hour when she saw Utz come out between a truck and car that were stopped in their lane of travel. She then slowed, and Utz hit the vehicle before falling to the ground. She sustained minor to moderate injury and was transported from the scene to Fulton County Medical Center. She was later flown to Altoona Trauma Hospital.


A theft occurred at the Dollar General in Mc- Connellsburg on Aug. 2 at 3:20 p.m. According to state police, Brandi Weikel, 33, Dudley, took several items totaling $36.50 from the Dollar General. Charges were filed.


A burglary occurred on the 200 block of Second Street in McConnellsburg between July 17 and July 31. According to state police, an unknown individual broke into a garage and cut wires in the garage. Simple Assault

A simple assault occurred on the 100 block of Cloverleaf Court on July 13 at 7:30 p.m. According to state police, Joey Russell Deshong, 40, McConnellsburg, shoved the head of a 31-year-old male from Mc- Connellsburg a couple times.


A theft occurred on Mountain Top Road on July 31 at 3 p.m. According to state police, a barn quilt and stand were taken from the Meadow Grounds State Game Lands. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Speigle at PSP McConnellsburg at 717-485- 3131.
