A burglary occurred at 3639 Cito Rd. between June 25 and 28. According to state police, unknown actors entered a barn on the property of a 74-year-old male from McConnellsburg and removed a Stihl chain saw as well as a Dewalt cordless drill set. They then fled in an unknown direction by unknown means. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP McConnellsburg at 717-485-3131.


A DUI occurred at 700 Lincoln Way East on July 1 at 9:27 p.m. According to state police, Caleb Koons, 27, Crystal Spring, was found to be under the influence and taken to Chambersburg Hospital for a blood draw. Charges were filed at District Court 39-4-01.

Criminal Mischief

Property was damaged at a 201 E. Maple St. residence on July 22 at 5 p.m. According to state police, an unknown individual damaged the front sidewalk brick step of a house belonging to a 47- year- old male of Mc- Connellsburg. The actor then fled in an unknown direction by unknown means.

DUI/Act 64

A DUI occurred at Lincoln Way East near Fifth Street on June 6 at 2:52 p.m. According to state police, Christina Riley, 23, Mc- Connellsburg, rear-ended another vehicle at the above location while becoming distracted while under the influence of controlled substances. Riley was also found to be in possession of a suspected crack pipe and plastic baggies containing drug residue. Riley was charged with DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Car Accident

A single car accident occurred on North Hess Road near Mountain House Road on July 15 at 11:44 a.m. According to state police, Dalton Hawbaker, 21, Hustontown, was traveling northbound on N. Hess Road when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. His 2017 Chevy Silverado then traveled off the roadway, through a field, and into a wooded area. The vehicle came to a final rest when it impacted an embankment in the wooded area. Hawbaker suffered a partially collapsed lung as a result of the crash. He was wearing his seat belt at the time and was charged with a traffic violation.


A theft occurred at 110A Lincoln Way between July 18 and 19. According to state police, an unknown person stole extension cords from an unlocked shed belonging to a 66-year-old male from McConnellsburg.


Harassment occurred at 416 E. Market St. on July 15 at 8:45 p.m. According to state police, Danielle Haupt, 22, McConnellsburg, James Lynn Junkins Jr., 27, Mc- Connellsburg, Josiah De- Shong, 35, McConnellsburg, and Ashley DeShong, 34, Mc- Connellsburg, were engaged in a confrontation that turned physical. Additionally, Haupt trespassed after being told to leave. She also caused damage to the property. Harassment, criminal trespass, and criminal mischief charges were filed through Magisterial District Court 39-4-02.

Identity Theft

An identity theft occurred at 1931 Thompson Rd. on July 14. According to state police, a 55-year-old man, McConnellsburg, received an e-mail from Apple, requesting personal information. After the unknown actor received the victim’s information, he attempted to gain access to the victim’s account, which was unsuccessful. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call PSP Mc- Connellsburg at 717-485-3131.
