POLICE REPORTS

DUI

A car traveled into a ditch on Lincoln Way West on July 10 at 10 p.m. According to state police, Derrick Keefer, 38, McConnellsburg, was turning right from Peach Orchard Road onto Lincoln Way West. Keefer’s 1999 Ford F-150 traveled across Lincoln Way West into the eastbound lane and then back across the roadway into the westbound lane of Lincoln Way West. The vehicle then went down into a ditch on the north side of Lincoln Way West. Keefer was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol/controlled substance.

Burglary

A burglary occurred on the 2100 block of Davis Lane between May 20 and June 20. According to state police, an unknown person broke into a cabin belonging to a 38-year-old female from Fannettsburg. The unknown person stole a bear mount, a deer mount, a cast-iron skillet, $2, and damaged the back door. Harassment

Harassment occured on Campmeeting Road in Brush Creek Township on July 8 at 7 p.m. According to state police, James Junkins, 27, McConnellsburg, and a 22-year old female of Mc- Connellsburg were arguing when the altercation turned physical. During the dispute Junkins hit the victim in the back of the head and then shoved her to the ground. A non-traffic citation for harassment was filed through Magisterial District Court 39-4-02.

Theft

A theft occurred at 3297 Mountain Rd. on July 12 at noon. According to state police, an unknown actor took miscellaneous keys from a 53-year old female from Warfordsburg. The actor then fled in an unknown direction by unknown means.

DUI/Car Accident

A crash occurred on Great Cove Road just north of Back Run Road on July 14 at 2:45 p.m. According to state police, Jesse Nutter, 35, Big Cove Tannery, was traveling behind Dale Showe, 39, Big Cove Tannery, in a 1999 Ford Escort when he rear-ended Showe’s 2005 Nissan Altima while it was making a left turn off Great Cove Road into a parking lot due to Nutter being impaired. Nutter was charged with driving under the influence.

Fraud

Someone attempted to pass a counterfeit bill at Tower Ridge Inn on June 26 at noon. According to state police, the unknown actor attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill. The actor then fled in an unknown direction by unknown means.

Harassment

A harassment incident occurred on McKibbin Road on July 12 at 9:17 p.m. According to state police, a 47- year- old male from Warfordsburg and a 32-year-old female from Warfordsburg were in a verbal dispute that turned physical when the male pushed the female. Harassment charges were filed through Magisterial District Court 39-4-03.
