The Fulton County in Bloom Art Show closes Friday, July 13, at 5 p.m. Please take a few moments to enjoy this wonderful display of art by local artists and artisans.

Join us for next week’s Summer Quest Libraries Rock Rocks as Fred Bothe from the Franklin County Rock and Mineral Club visits the library Wednesday, July 18, at 10:30 a.m. Listen as Fred tells stories about rock formations and helps us to explore all types of minerals, rocks, and fossils. This program will only be held at the McConnellsburg library; there will be no Summer Quest program at Hustontown or Southern Fulton next week.

PA Department of Health will be at Fulton County Library on the third Wednesday of every month from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Focus Wednesday, July 19, will be drug abuse and Narcan, the prescription nasal spray medicine used for the treatment of an opioid emergency. Join Teresa Leese this month and every month to learn more about your health and get a free blood pressure screening.

Upcoming Free Friday Movies include “Tomb Raider” on July 13 and on Friday, July 27, “Ready One Player.” Movies start at 6:30 p.m. in the community room.

This is the last week to take the Musical Mystery Tour! Stop at the table near the circulation desk to choose a mystery CD from the selection and give it a listen. Find a new artist or genre of music to enjoy! And while browsing, why not take home a “Rocks, Minerals, and Gemstones” Word Search puzzle to rock your brain.

The green room is ready for groups! If you have been on a tour of the library recently, then you may have been in the new community space. If you haven’t been on a tour lately, come ask for one at the library! If you belong to a community group looking for a space to meet, consider our green room for your next event.
