A new local softball team, Fulton County Fierce, played in the Andrea Gantt tournament in Fayetteville this past Saturday and Sunday. The team took home first place in their division.

Lori Kendall and Tami Ulsh, both from Mc- Connellsburg, felt that that there was a need and a desire from the community to have a more competitive program for area girls to grow more in the sport of softball.

This fall, Fulton County Fierce was launched with a 16U team and now with a great response from area parents, the program has added a 14U and 12U team.

Currently, the winning 16U team is made up of athletes from the three county schools.

Coaches for the team are Tami Ulsh, Lori Kendall and Dana Winters.
