Mary K. Seville, county planning director, met last Tuesday with commissioners Stuart Ulsh, Rodney McCray and Pete Lynch to hold a public hearing on the joint comprehensive plan, a collaborative effort between the six counties of Pennsylvania’s Southern Alleghenies region, to identify implementable strategies. Those counties include, in addition to Fulton, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Huntingdon, and Somerset.

After no public comment was made, the commissioners authorized the endorsement of Resolution 9 of 2018, adopting the joint comprehensive plan update for Fulton County. This includes all maps, charts, and textual matters as part of the Alleghenies Ahead document.

The commissioners met with Jeff Hackenberg, client relations manager, Area 7, Penn State Extension, for an update on activities by the extension board. Hackenberg then extended an invitation for the commissioners to attend an upcoming quarterly meeting on August 28 at 6:30 p.m.

During regular business June 26, burial expenses for deceased serviceman John Yeager Jr. were approved in the amount of $100.
