Post 561 scored five runs over the first two frames and then hung on for a win over visiting Waynesboro. Trailing 1-0 after the top of the first, Post 561 strung together three hits, a walk, and a hit batsman to take a 4-1 lead. Lucas McClain’s two-RBI double highlighted the inning.

The home team added its final run when Grayson Hall’s second hit of the evening chased home Colton Souders in the second. Matt Huston claimed the pitching victory, tossing 6 2/3 innings while surrendering three earned runs on four hits. Brycen Hohman picked up the save, striking out the final hitter after Huston had reached his pitch limit.

Post 561 used four run innings to open and close the game enroute to a victory at Greene Township Park. A pair of walks and errors sandwiched Hohman’s base hit in the opening frame. Chambersburg posted their only run of the game in the bottom of the second on a wild pitch. Post 561 answered with a single run in the top of the third, as Hohman and Lucas McClain both slugged doubles. The 5-1 score held until the seventh, when a bases loaded double by Weston Brunner blew the game open. On the day, six hits, five walks, and five Chambersburg errors led to the scoring. Hohman finished the day with three hits. Mitch Potter collected the pitching victory, battling his way through six innings while surrendering the lone run on just four hits.
