A theft occurred at Paws For Hope in McConnellsburg sometime June 5 or 6. According to state police, an unknown actor stole a light blue 10-speed bicycle that was left outside of Paws for Hope by a donor.

Criminal Mischief

A criminal mischief occurred at 4684 Sipes Mill Rd. June 23 at 2 a.m. According to state police, a 17-year-old male from Warfordsburg found that someone threw eggs and put black marker on his vehicle sometime overnight. The actor then fled by unknown means in an unknown direction.

Car Crash

A one-vehicle car crash occurred on the 3300 block of Mercersburg Road on June 19 at 1:30 p.m. According to state police, Blake Kline, 24, McConnellsburg, and Shiann Gordon, 20, McConnellsburg, were traveling southbound in a 2012 Ford Focus when Kline lost control of the vehicle. The car then left the roadway, striking a PennDOT sign. The vehicle received disabling damage. Both individuals were transported to Chambersburg Hospital by Mercersburg EMS.

1-70 Crash

A crash occurred on I-70 in Brush Creek Twp. on June 10 at 8:28 p.m. According to state police, Christine Walker, 30, Falls Church, was traveling east on I-70 near Mile Marker 160 when she lost control of her vehicle due to standing water. Walker then veered off the roadway, striking the guiderail end and flipped her vehicle twice, ending up approximately 15 feet down an embankment on the right side of the road. Multiple airbags were deployed, but Walker was wearing a seat belt and reported no injuries.


A crash occurred on Patterson Run Road on June 17 at 6:25 p.m. According to state police, Aylessa Mc- Laughlin, 31, Chambersburg, was traveling south on Patterson Road with two children under the age of 10 from McConnellsburg when she crossed the center yellow lines and drove into the opposing travel lane and struck an embankment. McLaughlin received minor injuries, but no others were reported.
