SF Baseball Takes District Title

Southern Fulton’s baseball team brought home the District 5 Class A championship title with their 4-0 shutout win May 31 over Berlin Brothersvalley at Everett.

Pitcher Branden Lynch lead the Indians throwing a two-hitter with seven strikeouts. Eaven Gordon’s RBI triple in the third set up the Indians for a 2-0 lead after three innings.

A pair of runs in the fifth sealed the deal for Southern Fulton.

Southern Fulton (20- 4) moved on to the state tournament quarterfinals Monday afternoon when the Indians shut out St. Joseph

Catholic Academy 3- 0 in the first round of the PIAA Class A Tournament in Everett. Pitcher Gabe Stotler throw 83 pitches with seven strikeouts and allowed just one runner to reach second base. The Indians scored runs in the first, fourth and sixth innings. Southern Fulton will take on High Point Baptist Thursday.
