Relay For Life Set For June 15


Relay For Life of Fulton County will be held on June 15, at Central Fulton High School, 151 East Cherry Street, McConnellsburg, from 3 p.m. to midnight.

Relay For Life events are life-changing cancer fundraising events that help communities across the globe fight back against cancer.

The money raised through Relay For Life events helps realize the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives, celebrate life, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.

Donations are used to fund lifesaving cancer research, patient support services, prevention and education information, and detection and treatment programs.

A basket raffle starts at 3 p.m. with a drawing at 10 p.m. Raffle items include gift items from local business plus Hersheypark tickets and Altoona Curve tickets.

A cancer survivor dinner will be held at 6 p.m. RSVP to Michelle at 717-816-3419 or Cheryl at 717-413-7608, or e-mail jenn.kush@cancer.org. All those who have been diagnosed with cancer and their caregiver are invited to attend.

The luminaria ceremony takes place at 9 p.m. Join in to celebrate, honor and recognize all those affected by cancer.
