Library employee Joanne Wible, left, North End Garden Club Presdent Marion Sickles, and library Director Jamie Brambley, right, prepare yet another load of books for the library’s plant and book sale this Friday and Saturday. The Fulton County Library is gearing up for its annual Plant & Book Sale that will start this Friday morning at 9 o’clock and run until 5 p.m. While perusing through pages and plants shoppers can visit the lunch stand upstairs that will be serving hot food and baked goods. The sale will pick up again Saturday morning at 9 o’clock, but the plant sale will end at noon and the book sale will end at 3 o’clock.

The North End Garden Club will be donating all of their proceeds to the library, and Director Jamie Brambley says the annual sale “is often the biggest fundraiser of the year.” This year Second Hand Prose, the library’s bookstore, has been completely filled and reorganized by bookstore manager Jamie Baker, as well as a separate room off of the store. According to library employees, it is quite possibly the biggest book sale that library has ever had!

Plant varieties are yet to be confirmed, but garden club President Marion Sickles is encouraging everyone to do their shopping Friday, because they’re going to go fast.
