In Memory

In loving memory of Helen Batdorff on Mother’s Day:

God saw you getting weary

A cure not meant to be

He looked down upon your lovely face

And whispered “Come with Me”

It broke my heart to lose you

But you did not go alone

For part of me went with you

The day God called you home.

My heart still aches with sadness

My secret tears still flow

What it meant to lose you

No one will ever know.

So those of you who have a Mom

Cherish her with love and care

You’ll never know such heartache

‘Til you see that vacant chair.

I love you and
miss you, Mom
Daughter Carole
