The calendar may say spring but Mother Nature isn’t letting up as cold weather continued to hinder local speedways again this weekend,.

Williams Grove Speedway did get a decent Friday as Cory Haas picked up the 410 Sprint car win over Brian Montieth, Rick Lafferty, Lucas Wolfe and Greg Hodnett, while Kevin Nouse was the 358 Sprint car winner over Jeff Halligan, Brett Wanner, Hank Donovan and Scott Fisher.

Despite a cold Saturday, Port Royal and Lincoln speedways both pressed forward while moving the starting time up to help the chill.

Dave Blaney raced to the win at the Port in the 410 Sprint car main, beating Lucas Wolfe, Greg Hodnett, Anthony Macri and Dylan Cisney as Harrisonville’s Logan Wagner finished eighth, with father Mike Wagner placing 10th.

Dylan Yoder picked up the Port Royal Late Model win over Coleby Frye, Andy Haus, Andrew Yoder and Mike Lupfer, while Jeff Miller won the PA 305 Sprints over Drew Ritchey and Kyle Smith.

Tyler Esh recorded his career first 410 Sprint car win Saturday at Lincoln Speedway, holding off Brian Montieth and trailed by Freddie Rahmer, Alan Krimes and Cory Haas.

Brent Shearer was the Lincoln 358 Sprint car winner over Mike Bittinger, Troy Wagaman Jr. Jeff Halligan and Chase Dietz.

Danny Dietrich picked up the Sunday night 410 Sprint car win at BAPS Motor Speedway over Lance Dewease, Greg Hodnett, Parker Price Miller and Anthony Macri, while Gregg Foster took the 358 Sprint car win.

Hagerstown and Selinsgrove both canceled Saturday shows because of the cold.
