A crash occurred on March 15, when a pickup traveled into a front porch according to state police. The accident occurred at 4:58 p.m. at the corner of Pitt street and Church street in Hustontown. An unknown person was pushing a mechanically disabled 1984 Ford F150 when they lost control down a decline and the pickup crashed into the front porch of the 397 Pitt St. residence.

Simple Assault

A physical altercation occurred at 3030 Lincoln Way East, resulting in a shattered windshield and passenger window of car belonging to a 57-year-old McConnellsburg female. According to state police, a 30-year-old male from McConnellsburg got into a physical altercation with a 19-year-old female and a 25-year-old male, both from McConnellsburg, on March 17 between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. During the incident, the accused caused damage to the above car. As a result, the accused was placed in Bedford County Jail with bail set at $50,000.


An altercation occurred at 259 Forbes Trail Road on March 16 at 4:50 p.m. According to state police, Misty Frace, 38, Mount Union, knowing she was not privileged to do so, entered the property of Larry Dillman, 58, McConnellsburg. During the time of trespass an altercation ensued resulting in a physical and/or verbal argument between two when Dillman demanded that Frace leave his front porch and she refused to do so.

Retail Theft

A theft occurred at the McConnellsburg Dollar General on March 16 at 2:15 p.m. According to state police, an unknown actor took a pair of women’s underwear from its package inside the store. The person then fled in an unknown direction by unknown means.


A theft occurred at 651 E Maple St. between Feb. 20 and March. 15. According to state police, Devon Fuller, 19, McConnellsburg, is accused of making purchases on a PS4 using a credit card belonging to Shania Grove, 19, Hustontown.

Retail Theft

A retail theft occurred at the FYE store in the Chambersburg Mall on March 14 at 9 p.m. According to state police, Katelyn Doney, 18, Burnt Cabins, is accused of attempting to steal various novelty items and was charged with retail theft.

Car Crash

A car crash occurred on Lincoln Highway March 14 at 8:17 a.m. roughly 2,000 feet of White Deer Drive. According to state police, James Rauch, 30, Harrisonville, was traveling east at an unsafe speed in his 2003 Ford Ranger when he lost control of his vehicle. As he attempted to regain control he struck a 2012 Toyota 4Runner head on carrying driver Christopher Fisher, 47, McConnellsburg, Kimberly Fisher, 52, McConnellsburg, and an 8-year-old child.

Rauch was not wearing a seat belt and was treated at the Medical Center for his injuries. All passengers in the 4Runner were wearing seat belts and only sustained minor injuries. Charges are pending for blood results for Rauch as well as other related traffic violations.

Sobriety Checkpoint

This notice is to alert the public that a sobriety checkpoint will be conducted by the Pennsylvania State Police in Fulton County within the upcoming weeks. Motorists that encounter the checkpoint will be stopped briefly. When there is an indication that a driver has consumed alcohol or controlled substances or committed any other violation of the law, the occupants may be detained for further investigation. Primary emphasis will be on driving under the influence violations, but all laws will be enforced.
