Big Cove Tannery, 74

Blaine O. Morton, 74, Big Cove Tannery, died Sunday, March 18, 2018, at his residence.

He was born in Needmore, January 11, 1944, the son of the late Beatrice (Daniels) and Harold Morton.

He was the husband of Carolyn J. (Comerer) Morton, whom he married March 28, 1964.

He was a member of Damascus Christian Church in Big Cove Tannery and attended Hancock Assembly of God Church.

He was an orderly and a certified nursing assistant at Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, and also at various nursing facilities.

He loved country music, old cars, telling jokes, taking care of people and doing in-home care. He also was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Kevin B. (husband of Deborah) Morton,

Big Cove Tannery; a daughter, Kristi D. (wife of Andy) Mellott, Needmore; a sister, Audrea Miller, Needmore; a grandson, Justin (girlfriend Kendall Broadwater) Mellott; step-grandsons: Jamie (husband of Stefany) Morris and Jere - my (husband of Stacy) Morris; step- great- grandchildren: Levi, Garrett, Emily, Katherine, Brody and Mckenzie Morris.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 22, from 4 p. m. to 8 p. m., at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg. There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Friday at the church.

Services will be held at Hancock Assembly of God Church, Hancock, at 11 a. m., Friday, March 23, with Pastor William Swope, Pastor Donald Preston and Pastor Dick Bernhard officiating. Interment will be at Damascus Christian Cemetery, Big Cove Tannery.
