Racing Roundup

By Brad Vores

It was a cool weekend in central PA but dirt flew at two area speedways that saw two more drivers score feature wins in 410 Sprint car action.

Saturday at Lincoln Speedway, Danny Dietrich started fourth and sized up polesitter and leader Lucas Wolfe before driving by and away to score his 39th career Lincoln win.

Dietrich won over Wolfe, Greg Hodnett, Brian Montieth and Kyle Moody, with Brandon Rahmer, Gerard McIntyre, Tim Glatfelter, Jim Siegel and Chad Trout completing the top-10 finishers.

Williams Grove Speedway opened its 2018 season on Sunday afternoon where Wolfe was once again on the pole for the third time in three events this season in central PA. And the third time was the charm for Wolfe who ran away from the field to post his 17th career track win.

Greg Hodnett turned in a nice performance, starting ninth and driving into the runner-up spot on the daytime surface, followed by Caleb Helms, Freddie Rahmer, Brock Zearfoss, Jason Shultz, Danny Dietrich, TJ Stuts, Coleman Gulick and Gerard McIntyre.

Port Royal Speedway cancelled its Saturday night season opener due to cold weather and will try again this Saturday with 410 Sprints and Late Models.

Williams Grove switches to Fridays this week with 410 Sprints and Late Models, while Lincoln presents its final Saturday afternoon show this week with 410 Sprints and Legends.
