Driver Injured In Pickup Crash

A pickup crashed on Bradshaw Road near Needmore Jan. 15 that left the driver with a serious head injury. According to state police, Scott Mosemann, 32, Warfordsburg, was traveling east at 8:35 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a righthand turn with his 2005 Chevy Silverado. The pickup sustained disabling damage when it crossed over the westbound lane and struck a tree just off the roadway. Assisting on the scene were Hancock EMS, Needmore EMS and fire company, and Bard’s Towing.


State police were conducting a traffic stop Jan. 12 on the 600 block of Lions Park Drive when Gage Henry, 18, McConnellsburg, was found to be under the influence at 12:23 a.m.

Public Drunkeness

A man was observed on Jan. 6 in a highly intoxicated state. According to state police, William Robert Wilson, 35, Harrisonville, was found at 10:23 p.m. walking aimlessly down Forrestdale Road.


A theft occurred on the 2900 block of Back Run Road between Dec. 12 or Dec. 13. According to state police, Paul Hornbaker, 61, McConnellsburg, was robbed of a black Bersa handgun.


A burglary occurred at A&M Fitness on N. Third Street Jan. 7. According to state police, a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, medium build, goatee, wearing a light- colored zipup hoodie and light-colored jogging pants, entered the facility around 3:40 a.m. The man pried open the door to the gym by unknown means and removed a small metal bar rack. The suspect then left on foot. Anyone with any information should contact PSP- McConnellsburg at 717-485-3131.

SUV Crash

A single-vehicle crash occurred on Waterfall Road Dec. 27 that resulted in EMS assistance. According to state police, Vonetta Fogal, 49, Hustontown, was driving south on Waterfall Road at 3:09 p.m., when she fishtailed while trying to negotiate a right turn. Her 2004 Ford Explorer struck a guiderail, causing major damage to the front bumper. The vehicle then continued to travel down an embankment where it struck a tree before stopping on the paved road. Assistance on the scene was provided by Hustontown Fire and EMS and Remsburg Towing. Fogal recieved minor injuries.


A simple assault occurred at 869 West Tannery Road on Jan. 6 at 1 p.m. According to state police, Bradley Eugene Hockenberry, 31, McConnellsburg, and Erin Leigh Baughman 37, Wells Tannery, were involved in a physical altercation that resulted in both recieving minor injuries.


State police report that a male actor entered the Family Dollar in McConnellsburg with intent to harass, annoy or alarm another person for no particular reason. The incident occurred Jan. 9 between 2:05 p.m. and 4:55p.m.
