The Monday of the 102nd Pennsylvania Farm Show was another snowy and wintery day. As the snow fell, Warfordsburg FFA members participated in and enjoyed the sights, sounds, and the awesome food throughout the Farm Show Complex.

The morning was full of fun and enjoyment as students learned about agricultural facilities and animal husbandry. The afternoon was quite different as the members had the opportunity to participate in the 89th Annual Pennsylvania FFA Mid Winter Convention. During the two-hour convention, members heard from Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding, as well as the secretary of education. They also witnessed more than 400 PA FFA members receive the highest state degree to be earned, the Keystone Degree.

The highlight of the convention was watching three Warfordsburg FFA freshmen receive their first official FFA jacket through the Freshmen Jacket Scholarships offered through the PA FFA Foundation. Ethan Eader, Emily Eader and Colten Golden all put on their blue and gold jackets for the first time that afternoon, as nearly 5,000 members and guests cheered them on.
