County Leaders Sworn In Jan. 2

Reorganize for 2018

Before sitting down last Tuesday to their first weekly meeting of 2018, commissioners Pete Lynch, Stuart Ulsh, and Rodney McCray were administered their oaths of office by the Honorable Judge Angela Krom at a ceremony held in the Fulton County Courthouse.

Business conducted afterwards at their weekly meeting included the appointment of county chief clerk Lisa Mellott McConahy to the office of secretary for the board of commissioners.

The commissioners also made the following re-appointments: county solicitor, Stanley J. Kerlin; chief clerk, Mellott McConahy; Tax Claim Bureau director, Monica K. Seville; chief assessor, Michelle R. Sowers; sealer of weights & measures: Department of Agriculture; director of Veterans’ Affairs, Bruce Carriker; and county engineers, Keller Engineers, The EADS Group and CES Engineering.

Bob Hendershot was reappointed to the Fulton County Industrial Development Authority for a term that will expire Dec. 31, 2021.

New hires for the county include Jessica Carlin as fiscal assistant for Services for Children pending approved paperwork. Carlin’s job will go into effect on Jan. 22.

Lastly, the commissioners moved to make no changes to their respective committee and board assignments; they will remain as in 2017.
