Car Crash

James Rauch, 47, Mc- Connellsburg, was traveling west on Lincoln Highway on Nov. 4 when he failed to negotiate a right-hand turn. According to state police, Rauch’s 1995 Chevrolet Corvette fish-tailed went out of control and struck an embankment before swerving across double yellow lines and hitting a guiderail, where it came to a final rest at 9:37 p.m. Rauch’s Corvette received substantial damage. Police were assisted by Mc- Connellsburg Fire Co. and Scott’s Towing.


A hit-and-run occurred at McConnellsburg Sheetz on Nov. 3 at noon. According to state police, an unknown driver and vehicle struck a legally parked 2003 BMW 3251. The driver of the unknown car then immediately left the scene after causing minor damage.

Criminal Trespass

Antoinette Lowery, 47, McConnellsburg, entered Clevenger’s Beverge on Nov. 3 after being repeatedly told she was unwelcome. According to police, Lowery had previously received and signed certified letters recognizing that she was unwelcome in the establishment.

Power Pole Struck

Bradlee Shank, 20, Warfordsburg, was driving his 1994 Ford Ranger south on Great Cove Road October 20 at 1:18 p.m., when he lost control. According to state police, Shank was attempting to negotiate a left-hand turn when he traveled off the road and struck two small trees. The vehicle continued until it struck a WestPENN Power pole, knocking the power lines off. Needmore Fire Volunteer Co., EMS, and West- PENN Power assisted police.

Single Car Crash

Steven Hess, 57, Gettysburg, was driving north on Waterfall Road on Oct. 30 at 5:55 a.m. when he fell asleep, according to state police. His 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer travelled off the road and struck an embankment, causing the vehicle to then rollover.

Drug Possession

Theodore Grance, 28, Mc- Connellsburg, was found with drugs and drug paraphanelia on October 31 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. According to state police, Grance is on state parole, and criminal charges will be filed through District Court 39-4-02.

Pickup Crashes

On Nov. 1 at 1:24 p.m. an unknown driver in a 1990 Ford F150 failed to negotiate a right-hand curve. According to state police, the pickup was travelling north on Rte. 522 when the driver failed the curve and struck a PennDOT chevron road sign and traveled into a small ditch.
