Festival Of Lights Needs Help

STAFF REPORT

Every year for the past six years the Fulton County Fair Association has hosted the Fulton County Festival of Lights at the fairgrounds. Businesses, churches, civic organizations, and families put together displays of festive Christmas lights to create a winter wonderland for people of all ages to enjoy. This year, the festival needs help.

The Fulton County Fair Association is seeking outdoor light displays to make this year’s Festival of Lights bigger, brighter and better than ever before. Due to setbacks, the church that normally puts on the live nativity scene is unable to participate this year. Help is also needed for the “Real Reason for Christmas” display and possibly a “Walk Through Bethlehem” display. Anyone interested in helping should contact event coordinator Michelle DeShong at 717- 816-3419 or send an email to kedmmd@gmail.com.

This year’s theme for the festival is Central Park Winter. The event will include free refreshments, treats for children, free crafts, and a photo op with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Dates for the festival are December 1, 2, 8, and 9 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each evening. Entry fee is $4 per carload.
