Car Crash

A Franklin County crash occurred October 10 at 8:46 p.m., according to state police. Sarah McFadden, 26, Big Cove Tannery, was driving a 2005 Ford E350 down Warm Spring Road with three passengers when a North Carolina female driving a 2009 Hyundai Santae failed to see a stop sign that had been run down by a previous hit-and-run. The Santie went through intersection, colliding with the E350. The truck rolled on its driver’s side and slid before coming to a final rest. Mc- Fadden was not injured, but her passengers and other driver sustained minor injuries.

Criminal Mischief

State police report that sometime October 2 and October 3 the playground located at the Cardinal Glen Terrace in McConnellsburg was spray-painted. Anyone with information should contact McConnellsburg state police at 717-485-3131.


On October 10 at 10:30 a.m. Vera Warthing, 78, Mc- Connellsburg, called state police to report that Donald Raymond Truax, 73, McConnellsburg, was driving in front of her home repeatedly. Warthing reported that Truax would slow down and stare at her each time he passed.


An argument between Daniel Strait, 35, Warfordsburg, and Angelmarie Unger, 39, Warfordsburg, turned physical on October 11 at 9:30 p.m.. State police report that the two began shoving one another.


State police report that Ryan Dixon, 33, Six Mile Run, was spotted at least three different times between the dates of June 18 and July 18 trespassing on the Lonestar Hunting Club of Bedford, Fulton, and Huntington counties’ property in Wells Township
