Tim Wright threw a first-place, personal record 183- 6.5 in the javelin last week when Southern Fulton went up against West Branch.

The Lady Spartans scored another victory last Tuesday, taking down District 5 Class 1A’s No. 2 seeded team, Fannett-Metal. McConnellsburg’s bases were loaded when the walk-off pitch came in the bottom of the eighth.

Forbes Road 6

An outstanding performance by Destiny Hall helped McConnellsburg secure a one-run win over Forbes Road in a Sideling Hill League/Inter-County Conference game played last Monday. Hall was 2-for-3 with four RBIs. Cardinal Courtney Schoen struck out six batters and had two hits. Teammate Mara Broadwater had two RBIs.

The Indians put nine batters across home plate in the bottom of the first inning of a game with Fannett-Metal last Wednesday. Pitcher Carl Potter struck out seven batters in five innings and pitched 55 strikes in 88 throws. Five Indians had two RBIs each: Cooper Grove, Mitch Potter, Branden Lynch, Tanner Elbin and Eaven Gordon.

Clear Spring 7

Darkness ended a game last Monday between Southern Fulton and Clear Spring in a 7-7 tie after nine innings. For the Indians, Branden Lynch was 2-for-2, bringing in three runs. Dylan Gordon hit two RBIs.
