F.C. Medical Center Awarded $20,000 Grant From FirstEnergy Foundation

County Medical Center recently received a boost from the FirstEnergy Foundation.

FCMC Foundation was awarded a $20,000 grant supporting construction of the new facility. The CAM addition is on track for completion in the spring of 2018 and will add an additional

50,000 square feet of clinical space to the FCMC campus. Along with a centralized location for FCMC primary care services, CAM will add a retail pharmacy, express cre and IV infusion area. Expanded clinical space for cardiology, rehabilitative therapies, behavioral health and lab services will be included in the project as well.

Located in Akron, Ohio, the FirstEnergy Foundation is the philanthropic organization of the FirstEnergy family of companies that include local provider West Penn Power. The grant award represents their first to FCMC and is a welcome contribution to the success of the CAM project. Nearly $2 million dollars in support has been received towards construction of the new facility and fundraising efforts continue.

Fulton County Medical Center Foundation is a separate 501 (c) (3), whose parent organization is the Fulton County Medical Center.

The FCMC Foundation is the fundraising arm of the Medical Center, supporting equipment purchases, funding for additional services and capital projects. The Foundation garners the sup - port of the local community (private individuals and businesses), family foundations and private/ public grant opportunities.
