Trash Scattered On PA Property

McConnellsburg state police reported that on March 8 trash was discovered dropped in a state drainage ditch near 33805 Great Cove Rd., Dublin Township. The identity of the person or persons responsible is not known.

Burglar Steals Miter Saw

A miter saw was stolen from a McConnellsburg Borough residence, McConnellsburg state police reported, sometime between 7 p.m. March 8 and 4 a.m. March 9. Police said somebody broke the rear door at 657 East Maple St., entered the residence and stole the saw. Victim is a 53-year-old St. Thomas woman.

License Plate Stolen, Replaced

Somebody stole a 51- year-old McConnellsburg man’s license plate and replaced it with another sometime Dec. 1 through March 5, McConnellsburg state police reported. The theft occurred at 209 South First St.

Police Investigate Possible Assault

McConnellsburg state police reported that they are investigating the possible sexual assault of two individuals on Feb. 22 at a residence on Camp Ridge Road, Harrisonville, in Licking Creek Township. Police said the incident involves two known suspects who they did not name.

Cited With Harassment

Chambersburg state police reported that Brittney Nichole Pogue, 20, Mc- Connellsburg, and a 16-yearold Chambersburg juvenile were both cited with harassment following a “mutual” physical altercation that took place at 44 Nottingham Dr., Hamilton Township, Franklin County, on March 5. Neither individual was injured, police said.

Union Twp. Burglary

Items that included 2 Barnett crossbows, a green Suzuki 300 ATV with front-mounted gun rack, a 14-foot dark-colored boat trailer, a mid-size white and blue 3- cylinder Isuzu tractor with front-end loader, 2 electric space heaters, an orange Husqvarna 240 Series chain saw and 100 feet of large rope were stolen from secured sheds at 2150 Fairview Rd., Union Township, sometime Nov. 1 through March 4. Mc- Connellsburg state police said the thief or thieves gained entry to the property by cutting the wire fencing that surrounded it. Victims are a 75-year- old Mc- Connellsburg man and a 74- year-old Laurel, Md., man.

Money Stolen From Vehicle

An undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the console of a 23-year-old Mc- Connellsburg man’s vehicle sometime between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. March 11. Mc- Connellsburg state police said the unlocked vehicle was parked at the victim’s 809 Rock Hill Rd. residence. They did not identify the victim.

Single-vehicle Accident

Zane R. Nelson, 37, Breezewood, was driving too fast for a snow- covered Route 30 in Brush Creek Township on March 10 at 8:13 a.m., causing his pickup to lose traction and leave the roadway. McConnellsburg state police said the 1998 Dodge Ram started down and embankment and overturned. The police said the driver, who was wearing a seat belt, denied having any injuries. He was charged with a traffic violation.

Prescription Meds Stolen

McConnellsburg state police reported that prescription medicine was stolen from the home of a 69-year-old Brush Creek Township woman sometime between 1 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. March 5. Police said the medication was taken by “known parties” whom they did not identify.

Passes Bad Checks

Charges will be filed against Sara Lynn Beachtel, 27, McConnellsburg, pending a McConnellsburg state police investigation, for passing bad checks at two Ayr Township businesses between Feb. 6 and March 2. Police said that Beachtel wrote five bad checks to Mc- Connellsburg True Value and two to the Country Closet Thrift Store.

3 Injured When SUV Rolls

Driver Katana M. Wilkerson, Warfordsburg, and two passengers, who were all using seat belts, were injured March 10 when the vehicle they were traveling in on Green Lane Road in Bethel Township left the roadway and rolled over. Mc- Connellsburg state police said the 17-year-old driver lost control of a 2003 Jeep Liberty as it rounded a curve at 7:50 a.m. Wilkerson suffered injuries of unknown severity, police said. Both of the 14-year-old and 13-yearold passengers suffered minor injuries. All three were transported to a Hagerstown medical facility by Needmore EMS. Police charged the driver with a traffic violation. Also assisting at the accident scene were Needmore Volunteer Fire Co. and Fischer’s Garage.

SUV Hits Stone Wall At Pizzeria

A driver entering a parking space at Lincoln Way Pizza on Crystal Drive in Mc- Connellsburg March 10 hit the gas pedal of a 2009 Nissan Pathfinder instead of the brakes and struck a decorative stone wall in front of the pizzeria and lounge. McConnellsburg state police said the accident happened at 8:40 p.m. They did not identify the driver.
