Hyndman 30

McConnellsburg had some luck in the three-point zone last Tuesday evening during the Spartans’ 75-30 non-league ousting of Hope for Hyndman. Chase Novak led the team’s scoring effort with 14 points, and teammate Jake Boehme followed with 11 points and five assists. Landon Richards added 10 points, and Quintin Miller finished with nine points and nine rebounds.

Southern Fulton 56

Forbes Road 20

Down two starters, the Forbes Road Cardinals couldn’t keep up with the Southern Fulton Indians, who ran away for the 56-20 league win last Tuesday. Trent Rider had 24 points to lead his Indian teammates, and Dylan Gordon was the next highest scorer with 13 points. For the Cardinals, Talon Blair and Matt Brown each had five points.

Cumberland Valley

Christian 9

In an extremely lopsided game last Monday evening, McConnellsburg ran away for a 71-9 non-league win over Cumberland Valley Christian. Jake Boehme led the Spartans’ offensive effort with 19 points and added on six steals. Teammate Chase Novak tacked on 13 points and five assists, while Quintin Miller’s double-double consisted of 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Shalom Christian 48

Shalom Christian was handed its first loss of the season last Tuesday when McConnellsburg edged out the Flames for the 57-48 non-league win. Bronwyne Mellott packed the Lady Spartans offense with 24 points and also pulled down 12 rebounds. Alexis Mellott added 18 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double, and Justice Seville had seven points.

Forbes Road 46
Mount Union 21

In spite of getting off to a slow start, the Forbes Road Cardinals ignited their offense in the second period last Wednesday and rolled to a 46-21 non-league win over Mount Union. Mina Wilt recorded a season-high 15 points and tacked on seven rebounds and five steals. McKenzie Gelvin netted 13 points and made five steals, and Mara Broadwater and Malea Truax added seven rebounds and eight points, respectively.

Southern Fulton 48

Chestnut Ridge 41

Southern Fulton pulled away with some big numbers in the fourth quarter last Wednesday for a 48-41 Sideling Hill League win over Chestnut Ridge. Olivia Mottern had a team-high 27 points and also pulled down 15 boards. Drew Hann was the next highest scorer with six points, and Shaye Smartt and Celina Merchant added six rebounds and four steals, respectively.

Hyndman 37

McConnellsburg limited its turnovers to six last Monday and edged out Hope for Hyndman for the 54-37 non-league victory. Bronwyne Mellott rallied for 26 points, 14 rebounds and four steals for the Lady Spartans. Bridgette Ritchey netted 10 points and blocked two shots. Alexis Mellott also closed out the game with 10 points.

Forbes Road 38

Southern Fulton dominated the middle quarters of last Monday’s Sideling Hill League game and defeated the Forbes Road Cardinals 47-38. Olivia Mottern netted 21 points to lead the victorious Lady Indians. Lakyn Morton tallied 11 points, and Celina Merchant was the next highest scorer with nine points and also had 11 rebounds. For the Cardinals, McKenzie Gelvin posted 13 points. Mina Wilt finished with seven points.
