Helen I. Gracey, 79, Waterfall, died at 8:30 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2015, at Overly Meadows wing of Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg.

Born July 24, 1936, at Websters Mill, Fulton County, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Ruby (Johnson) Bishop. She was married to Donald R. Gracey, who survives at home.

She is survived by a son, Randy Shoop, Waynesboro; and a daughter, Michelle Gilbert, Wells Tannery; along with the following stepchildren: Jesse Rosenberry, Waterfall; Cindy Drawbaugh, Lowell, Ind.; Doug Gracey, Willow Hill, Pa.; Theresa DeShong, McConnellsburg; and Greg Gracey, McConnellsburg; three brothers: John Bishop, Charles Bishop and Harold Bishop, all of McConnellsburg; and four sisters: Martha Shoemaker, Big Cove Tannery; Lois Carbaugh and Elena Seiders, both of Hummelstown, Pa.; and Nancy Bryner, Berkeley Springs, W.V.; and 49 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Debra Shoop, and three brothers: George, William and Calvin Bishop; and three sisters: Dorothy Bishop, Mary Fetters and Mildred Truax preceded her in death.

She was a member of Center United Methodist Church, Waterfall,.

In her early years, she was a homemaker. She later worked at Sagner Inc., Mc- Connellsburg, and as a waitress at the Family House Restaurant, Breezewood.

She was a loving wife, mother and a great cook, always trying new recipes that turned out well. After all of her chores were completed, she enjoyed working crossword puzzles and watching soap operas on TV. In the evenings, she and her husband enjoyed watching the news and Westerns. She was also a avid country music fan.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2015, at M.R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown. Pastor Betty Secrest officiated. Interment was at Center Cemetery, Waterfall.
