Country artist Ben Gallaher, grandson of Edith Gallahar of Hustontown and the late John Gallaher, recently signed a record deal with Sony Music Nashville. He is currently on tour. Country artist Ben Gallaher, currently on his Full Speed Ahead tour (#FSAtour), signed a record deal with Sony Music Nashville on October 21, 2014. Ben is the grandson of Edith H. Gallaher of Hustontown and the late John W. Gallaher.

“I am incredibly ecstatic about this opportunity. The fact that a kid from central Pennsylvania could follow his dream all the way to Music City and sign with one of the world’s largest recording labels is truly unreal. I am so honored to work with the team at Sony Music Nashville and to learn from all the amazing, indescribable talent on the Sony label – Brad Paisley, Kenney Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Jake Owen, Garth Brooks, Tyler Farr and so many more,” says Gallaher. “We’re on the road every weekend touring, but during the week I spend most days in writing sessions with some of Nashville’s best songwriters. To sit in the writing room with them and see how they craft a song is such an honor for me.”

Gallaher graduated with honors in May 2014 from Belmont University, Nashville, with a degree in entertainment industry studies. He is an Eagle Scout and a native of Camp Hill. Beginning his college career at Penn State, Ben transferred to Belmont University after his freshman year at Mont Alto to pursue a career as a music artist.

In January 2014, Gallaher performed his latest single, “Last Train,” during his first professional music video taped at Buck Wild’s Rode House in Mechanicsburg. “I wanted to include my entire hometown base in my first music video. They have been loyal fans and supporters for years! Without them I wouldn’t be on this crazy ride!”

When asked how to describe Gallaher, Jim Catino, vice president A&R of Sony Music Nashville, said, “The magic of country music meets the audience head-on in every performance. Watching this young artist own the stage, forcing his guitar to surrender unbelievable sounds, and captivate the audience with song and soul is pure entertainment. We were fans from the first riff!”

You can find Gallaher’s tour schedule on www.BenGallaher- Music.com and connect with him on Facebook at Ben Gallaher Music, and on Twitter at @Ben_ Gallaher. Follow his Full Speed Ahead tour at #FSAtour.

When he’s not touring or songwriting in Nashville, the 22-yearold Eagle Scout and 2014 Belmont University graduate likes to spend as much time hunting and fishing on the family farm in Hustontown as possible.
